I have been trying to install Autopsy 4.15.0 x64 and keep getting the error message ‘An error occurred while trying to create the directory: C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu’. Has anyone else experienced this problem? Is there a solution?

Hello. I don’t believe this is an Autopsy issue but is something with Windows itself. Are you running with Admin privileges when you install Autopsy? Is it possible that you have a 3rd party application like Advanced SystemCare interfering with Windows’ ability to create that directory?
It’s possible you may just have to reset your ‘Start Menu’ directory permissions.
