I’m trying to run a search to get a list of all files with .ost extension. I want to extract/export these files.
I think there is no MIME type for this file type. Is there a way to get this done without manually look through the data source.?

Try looking for the mime type application/vnd.ms-outlook-pst since ost and pst should have the same file header.
It looks like Mark’s solution does what you need, but another general option for finding files with a specific extension is to use the Interesting Files ingest module. Every matching file will end up under the Interesting Items section of the Results node in the tree.
