I’m new to forensics technology & to use of Autopsy.
I have rooted the Huawei Y7 phone, I connect phone to the computer by usb, run autopsy as an administrator, then choose a local disk, click detect and the program will not see the phone. How can I solve this?

I don’t think this will work. You probably need to image the phone and then run Autopsy on that image.
Ann is right. You need to image that device first (outside of Autopsy) as it won’t just show up as locally connected storage. A common way of imaging out rooted or recovery image (ie. TWRP) phones is to use ADB + netcat + dd to image the device over the USB cable. There are numerous guides online as to how to do this if you want to learn more about it.
