# Installation on windows failing

I uninstalled my previous version of Autopsy 4.21.0 and when I try to go and reinstall it I know get an error message saying the process cannot access the file because another process has locked a portion of the file. Has anyone ever had this issue before?

Did it say what file was locked? Have you tried to reboot it and still get the same error?
