Can't read OCRed files

As Autopsy embedded OCR was not giving me good results, I just decided to OCR some pdf files through ABBYY Fine Reader Corporate and then, all the of them was saved as searchable pdf’s.

Thing is that after indexing the content in Autopsy, I’m unable to read that pdf files through the “Application” tab, which is used to show file content. All I see are blurred images:

To ingest the data I tried to disable all ingest filters but the error remain.

If I try to ingest the original file version, without OCRing through ABBYY Fine Reader, it works fine and the content is shown.

  1. Does anyone know why it is happening? Is there anything that I can adjust to make it show my already OCRed pdf file content in Autopsy?

  2. Do you know any other Open Source platform that I can use to index my OCRed pdf’s? I just need to look for keywords, tag, mark and comment the files.
