# Adding VHDX to Supported Image Formats

All,

It may have been suggested already, but could VHDX be added as a supported image format in Autopsy? VHD is quite useful, but as things progress, many Windows functions and apps default to creating VHDX files before VHD which is making VHDX more ubiquitous. It would be useful and think more efficient to be able to ingest either format without having to perform any extra conversion steps.

This is awesome, so there is still development ongoing with Autopsy?
